Willem Malherbe

Willem is a postdoctoral researcher interested in finding ways to build resilience for vulnerable social-ecological systems. His PhD focussed on ways of operationalising resilience by managing capital resources in order to build a set of resilience capacities. His current project investigates the necessary set of conditions that are required for sustainability transformations to occur in communities of the South Pacific, and how leverage points can be used to enable them.
