DFG-Network “Leverage Points for Climate Action”

The DFG-Network “Leverage Points for Climate Action” aims to provide a platform for discussing insights on the conceptual and empirical state of research on leverage points to counter climate change from different disciplinary perspectives by focusing on the three realms of leverage of re-structure, re-connect and re-think. The principal objective of the research network is to channel these perspectives towards a robust, innovative framework for assessing the means to achieve plausible climate change adaptation, mitigation and transformation pathways. Such an application of the leverage points perspective can allow researchers, non-academic practitioners and policy-makers to decipher if proposed interventions have transformative potential or strengthen the status quo.
Therefore, the research network promotes research excellence in young researchers on the topic of system thinking and inter- and transdisciplinary climate change research as well as opportunities for empirical, conceptual, and methodological advancement.
